The Bundesliga side are keen to offer the 21-year-old a permanent deal and view him as an important signing as they look to compete at the top of Germany's top flight and continue their mission to develop young talent. It is thought the club value Morton at around £20m and may demand a high fee if they are to let him bid farewell to his boyhood club for good.

RB Leipzig have registered the strongest interest in the 21-year-old midfielder after back-to-back seasons out on loan in the Championship.
