Reports earlier in the window had claimed that Celtic were keeping tabs on the youngster ahead of a potential pre-contract agreement in January. However, it's understood Celtic did not come to the table with official offers.

Both Celtic and Rangers are reportedly keeping tabs on Bristol City star Tommy Conway, who is in the final year of his contract after turning down a new offer. Celtic will need to act quickly if they want to secure Conway.

Tommy Conway has told Robins boss Liam Manning he wants to leave the club and that's seen him linked with a move north of the border to Celtic. However, it's understood neither Old Firm club has come to the table with an official offer for the talented frontman. His red-hot form prompted speculation that Brendan Rodgers could battle it out for his signature in the new year, where his cross-border compensation fee would be as little as £300,000.
