Tom Müller, who left Hallescher FC in 2021, has since gained experience at Carl Zeiss Jena, Preußen Münster, and most recently at SC Verl. Having been without a club since the summer, he was eligible to be signed outside the regular transfer window. Hallescher FC's sporting director, Daniel Meyer, expressed his excitement about re-signing Müller, stating that Müller fits many of their criteria. Meyer highlighted that Müller was trained in their youth academy, has gained experience in both the Regionalliga and 3. Liga, and achieved promotion to the 3. Liga with Münster. Meyer also mentioned that Müller's familiarity with the team and league would reduce the adaptation period, enabling him to immediately bring his experience and quality to the team.
