Queens Park Rangers had the chance to sign Timothy Fosu-Mensah but reportedly turned it down over concerns about his fitness. The Dutch defender, who has been a free agent since departing Bayer Leverkusen this summer, was offered to a number of Championship clubs. Despite his readiness to move to England's second tier, clubs such as Middlesbrough, Stoke City, and Blackburn Rovers, along with QPR, opted not to sign him, mainly due to doubts about his physical condition. These concerns arose from his past injury problems, including a cruciate ligament injury that kept him out of action for nine months during his stint at Leverkusen.
