The Wuppertaler SV has signed Timo Bornemann. The 23-year-old forward comes from the third division club Energie Cottbus. Bornemann is familiar with the Regionalliga West, having played 54 games (scoring 15 goals) for Fortuna Düsseldorf II and FC Wegberg-Beeck. Sporting director Gaetano Manno mentioned that Timo Bornemann is a forward with strong depth and impressive speed, bringing a lot of experience, also from the 3rd division, which is of great value to the team. Manno also revealed that Cottbus coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz advocated for Bornemann's move to WSV.
