Tim Matavž, former Slovenian national player and the top scorer of the club with five goals, is confirmed to be leaving the club. He has not played in recent matches due to a hamstring injury and personal family issues. He joined Gorica in the winter of 2023 when the club was preparing for a battle for survival. He had a certain contribution, but it wasn't close to what Matavž provided in his best days, when he was in Dutch clubs Groningen, PSV, and Vitesse. This season he was slightly better, but from January everything went wrong for him and the club and it couldn't be corrected.
