Thomas Henry was transferred in the summer of 2021 from Leuven to Venezia for just over five million euros and then sold for half to Hellas Verona, keeping a 40% stake on the future resale. However, the payment was never fully made to the Belgian club, which then asked FIFA to sanction Venezia. The issue has recently been resolved with Venezia paying the outstanding amount and hence the ban being lifted.
