Thomas Alberti has been signed by Pescara from Modena. Pescara had expressed interest in Alberti since June, but he only became available for transfer during this market session. Daniele Sebastiani, the president of Pescara, mentioned that Alberti was recruited to fill the gap left by Vergani's exit. Although the club made efforts to secure other targets such as Gori and Rauti, Alberti was considered a strategic acquisition because there were few attackers available, especially in Serie C, until the closing hours of the transfer window.
