Taylan Bulut: Schalke 04 Contract Extension
The contract extension for Schalke 04's right-back talent Taylan Bulut is facing delays. 'Sport Bild' reported that the remaining detail to finalize is the release clause amount for the 19-year-old player. The club's management recognized that extending the contract without including this option appears unfeasible. Bulut's current contract in Gelsenkirchen is valid until 2026, and the club is aiming to set the release clause as high as possible, ideally beyond ten million euros, though they are realistically considering a figure around eight million. Both parties remain optimistic about reaching a mutual agreement.
Schalke 04 intends to extend the contracts of Max Grüger and Taylan Bulut to keep them at the club. Kaderplaner Ben Manga is reportedly in talks with the duo to extend their contracts long-term. Both contracts are currently set to expire in 2026. Bulut joined Schalke's academy in 2020 from Bayer Leverkusen and has become a key defensive talent under new coach Kees van Wonderen.
