Tariq Lamptey Transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion to Ajax
Tariq Lamptey has an expiring contract with Brighton & Hove Albion and can negotiate a free transfer since January 1. Ajax is interested in signing the Ghana international and plans to offer him a multi-year contract soon. Ajax considered acquiring him for a small fee during the winter break, but the deal did not materialize.
Tariq Lamptey is reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Ajax for a free transfer. His contract with Brighton & Hove Albion expires next summer, allowing him to negotiate a free transfer now. Media in Ghana suggest that talks have almost led to an agreement with Ajax, who are keen to take advantage of Brighton's reluctance to offer Lamptey a new contract. Ajax is reportedly impressed by Lamptey's versatility, energy, and speed.
Ajax is nearing a deal with Brighton & Hove Albion for Tariq Lamptey's transfer. Ajax's coach, Francesco Farioli, indicated that the team requires a right-back following Devyne Rensch's move to AS Roma. Lamptey, who represents Ghana internationally, will be out of contract at the season's end, which enables Ajax to secure him for a lower fee. Reports suggest Ajax is prepared to offer 1.5 million pounds (around 1.8 million euros) for the player, a sum that Brighton appears to find satisfactory. Lamptey, regarded as a skilled player, was developed at Chelsea before his transfer to Brighton in 2020.
