Taras Stepanenko Transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk to Eyüpspor
Eyüpspor, a club in the Süper Lig, has reached a 1.5-year agreement with Taras Stepanenko, the captain of Shakhtar Donetsk. The experienced midfielder is set to join the Istanbul team and will play his last match for the Ukrainian club in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund. Stepanenko will arrive in Istanbul to sign the contract today. No transfer fee will be paid for this transfer.
Ukrainian midfielder Taras Stepanenko is poised to join the Turkish club Eyüpspor. Local journalist Ertan Süzgün has reported that the 35-year-old player is set to sign a 1.5-year contract with the club. Stepanenko is anticipated to travel to Istanbul on January 30 to undergo a medical examination and finalize the agreement with his new team. Transfermarkt has valued him at 1.5 million euros. During the 2024/25 season, Stepanenko participated in 14 matches at the club level without scoring any goals or providing assists. In a previous transfer, Shakhtar Donetsk sold Danylo Sikan to the Turkish club Trabzonspor.
