Tessman is coming off a great season with Venezia and his versatility fits perfectly with the idea of replacing Ferguson. The midfielder can play as a director, as an internal midfielder and as a playmaker. The talks began in January with the idea of hearing each other again for the summer session: it is clear that the possible promotion in A could shuffle the cards but it is equally clear that the idea of being able to live a Champions League could prevail.

Tanner Tessmann, a midfielder from Venezia, is being closely followed by Bologna. Bologna, as well as Empoli, tried to get the approval of the Venetian club for a transfer planned for the summer, relying on Tessmann's contract expiring in 2025. The contract has not yet been extended and much will depend on the end of the season for Paolo Vanoli's team. In case of promotion to Serie A, it would be easier to retain - or at least try to do - the best players like Tessmann and Pohjanpalo. Otherwise, a separation would be the best solution for all parties: Bologna is at the window, ready to seize the opportunity.
