Suso Transfer from Sevilla to Olympiakos Piraeus
José Luis Mendilibar, the former Sevilla coach who is now at Olympiacos, is interested in bringing Suso to the club in Piraeus. Sevilla is looking to free up Suso's salary before his contract concludes on June 30. In the past, Suso had turned down lucrative offers from leagues in Saudi Arabia and the United States in order to remain close to his family in the Sevilla-Cádiz area. He had also proposed renewing his contract at a reduced salary, but Sevilla's sporting director, Víctor Orta, declined the offer. Although Suso and Mendilibar had experienced some disagreements during Mendilibar's initial months at Sevilla, their relationship has since improved.
Spanish sources, including an ABC report, indicated that José Luis Mendilibar was interested in signing Suso from Sevilla. The two clubs engaged in discussions regarding the potential transfer. Suso's contract is set to expire in the summer of 2025. This season, he has participated in 7 matches for Sevilla and played 34 matches last season, during which he scored 1 goal. In collaboration with Mendilibar, Suso has played in 24 matches, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists. Olympiacos reportedly made an approach and initiated contacts to secure Suso's release, with the possibility of the transfer occurring if Sevilla released him by January 31.
