Stuart Armstrong Transfer from Vancouver Whitecaps to Sheffield Wednesday
Stuart Armstrong has returned to English football after spending four months with the Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS. The former Celtic Invincible, who had previously played for Southampton for six seasons, chose to end his stint in Canada early in order to join Sheffield Wednesday in a January transfer. At 32, Armstrong conveyed his pleasure and gratitude for the new opportunity, mentioning that he had loved his time in Canada with an amazing group of people but found himself missing the English game. He reflected that joining Sheffield Wednesday required considerable thought, but he is ultimately looking forward to the remainder of the season.
