Stefanos Tzimas Transfer from PAOK to Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton has finalized the agreement for the Greek striker Stefanos Tzimas, born in 2006. The player has been acquired permanently but will remain on loan at Nuremberg until the end of the season. The agreement matched Fiorentina's offer of 22-23 million euros (18 million to PAOK) with a 15% future resale percentage retained by the Greek club. Unlike Fiorentina, Brighton agreed to leave Tzimas on loan in Germany until the end of the season.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal worth 25 million euros for Stefanos Tzimas, stating that the Greek forward has already passed medical examinations and signed with Brighton. Tzimas will remain on loan at Nürnberg until June. Nürnberg director Olaf Rebbe initially signed him on a cheap loan and has now sold him for over £22 million. Tzimas, a 19-year-old forward, has scored 10 goals and provided 2 assists in 17 appearances in Bundesliga 2 this season.
Stefanos Tzimas is on the verge of joining Brighton, setting a new record transfer fee for a Greek footballer at 25 million euros. Brighton is reportedly winning the competition among three English clubs—West Ham, Aston Villa, and Brighton—for Tzimas' signature. The club is nearing the completion of a deal to acquire the 19-year-old striker from PAOK, who is currently on loan at Nuremberg. The terms of the agreement are anticipated to be disclosed in the near future. It was reported that Brighton's decision to allow Tzimas to remain at Nuremberg until the end of the current season played a crucial role in the negotiations.
Brighton is among the Premier League clubs interested in Stefanos Tsimikas, who is currently on loan at Nuremberg from PAOK. The 19-year-old Greek forward has been catching attention due to his impressive performances, having scored eight goals and provided two assists in 14 appearances in the German second division this season. Nuremberg is contemplating activating a purchase option for 18 million euros with the intention of selling him for a fixed sum of 25 million euros next summer, which could result in a substantial profit. In addition to Brighton, other Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Aston Villa, along with several Bundesliga teams, have also shown interest in Tsimikas.
