Real Betis is in negotiations with Borussia Dortmund for Soumalia Coulibaly but has not yet reached an agreement with the club.

Betis is negotiating a loan with an option to buy for the 20-year-old left-footed defender, who played on loan at Royal Amberes last season.

Soumaila Coulibaly, a 20-year-old French central defender, was absent from Borussia Dortmund's Asian tour due to minor physical issues and the club's intention to loan him out again, similar to last season's arrangement with Royal Antwerp. Betis has come to an agreement with the player, who is excited about the prospect of playing in La Liga and potentially competing in the Conference League group stage. Betis prefers a straightforward loan deal, while Dortmund is pushing for purchase obligations contingent on objectives and full coverage of the player's salary.

The 20-year-old central defender is very close to being loaned with an option to buy to Betis. If the Andalusian club qualifies for European competition at the end of the season, the option to buy would become mandatory.

Soumaila Coulibaly is the main target for Real Betis to complete their defense. Conversations have already started with Borussia Dortmund for his signing, which could be finalized with a loan with a mandatory purchase option.
