Arsenal had shown interest in the France U21 international before his transfer to Lens in 2023, and following his impressive performance against them in the Champions League, their interest intensified. Despite Wahi's unopposed move to Marseille during the summer for €25 million, La Provence reported that the Gunners regard the France Olympic striker as a potential asset for the second half of the season. Wahi's Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is €44.6m, and his contract is valid until 2029.
