Sepe Elye Wahi Transfer from Olympique Marseille to Arsenal

Arsenal have been suggested as potential suitors for Marseille striker Elye Wahi, as they seek to address their current issues in attack. Mikel Arteta's team is currently short of options in the No.9 position. Arsenal had shown interest in the France U21 international before his transfer to Lens in 2023, and following his impressive performance against them in the Champions League, their interest intensified. Despite Wahi's unopposed move to Marseille during the summer for €25 million, La Provence reported that the Gunners regard the France Olympic striker as a potential asset for the second half of the season. Wahi's Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is €44.6m, and his contract is valid until 2029.

Arsenal are reportedly considering Elye Wahi as a potential alternative if securing a deal for Vlahovic becomes too challenging or costly. The 22-year-old is viewed as a possible option and might be available for a loan move after experiencing limited playing time in Marseille. Wahi is also attracting interest from West Ham United, who are seeking a striker due to Niclas Fullkrug's hamstring injury and Michail Antonio's road accident. Nevertheless, Marseille is reportedly aiming to include a mandatory purchase clause in any loan agreement. Wahi, who joined from Lens, has netted three Ligue 1 goals in 595 minutes this season. His contract with Marseille is valid until 2029.
