Sebastián Coates is very close to leaving Sporting to return to Nacional, the club where he trained and left in 2011 for European football. After eight and a half seasons with Sporting, Coates is preparing to return to his country, with his family playing a significant role in the decision. Coates will be able to compete in the Libertadores, as Nacional will face São Paulo in the round of 16, and CONMEBOL allows the registration of up to three new players for the knockout stages. The transfer will be free of financial compensation as a gesture of gratitude for Coates' high performance over the seasons.
