Samuel leaving Porto?
FC Porto has a clause to buy 30% more of Samu's economic rights from Atlético Madrid, making their total share 80%. Samu has a release clause of €100 million and a contract until June 2029. FC Porto will profit 80% from any future transfer. FC Porto can purchase two optional 15% shares for €5 million each by July 2025 and July 2026, respectively.
Samuel Portugal, who cost FC Porto 4 million euros, has never debuted for the club. He has interest both domestically and internationally and is expected to leave despite having a contract until 2027.
Samuel Portugal is unhappy with his current status as a backup goalkeeper at FC Porto and has not played any minutes since his transfer from Portimonense. He is looking for opportunities to play elsewhere. There are clubs in the Liga and from his native country interested in him. The club is considering a loan with an option to buy due to financial difficulties.
