Samuel Iling leaving Aston Villa?
Samuel Iling-Junior, despite his move from Juventus to Aston Villa, was already known to be in line for another loan back to Serie A. Contrary to previous reports, the 20-year-old midfielder will not join Europa League winner Atalanta Bergamo, but will move to FC Bologna, who finished fifth in Serie A last season and will also participate in the Champions League.
Bologna FC 1909 has announced the temporary acquisition of the sporting rights to forward Samuel Iling-Junior from Aston Villa FC until June 30, 2025. The player is described as a left-footed offensive winger capable of playing on both wings, known for his extreme speed, explosive nature, and powerful acceleration with the ball. He is also skilled in dribbling at full speed. The club highlighted his ability to create numerical superiority and his good shooting abilities, which make him dangerous from medium distance. Additionally, he is noted for his athletic and aerobic qualities. His playing style involves continuous bursts and one-on-one plays, often bringing him close to the opponent's area where he can also be effective in providing assists.
Samuel Iling-Junior, who was acquired by Aston Villa from Juventus in June for 18 million EUR plus 3 million EUR in bonuses, has requested a loan transfer. He was benched during Aston Villa's first Premier League match against West Ham, which has led him to seek more playing time elsewhere.
Aston Villa could allow new signing Samuel Iling-Junior to leave on loan. The winger joined Villa earlier this summer as part of the deal which sent Douglas Luiz to Juventus. (Express & Star)
