Samuel Essende, the top scorer in Vizela's history in the Liga, is set to move to the Bundesliga, joining Augsburg for a record €5 million. He joined Vizela last summer on loan from Caen, and in January, Vizela exercised the purchase option for €600,000. He now leaves after scoring 16 goals in 35 games, and will sign a contract with Augsburg until 2028.

The Congolese striker Samuel Essende, aged 26 and trained at PSG, is set to sign with Augsburg in a transfer worth approximately 5 million euros. Despite Vizela finishing second to last in Liga, Essende had a successful season in the Portuguese top division, scoring 15 goals. Augsburg has been impressed by his performance and plans to invest around 5 million euros to recruit him. Essende will sign a four-year deal with the Bundesliga club.
