Salvatore Sirigu Transfer to Palermo

Salvatore Sirigu, the experienced goalkeeper born in 1987, will be joining Palermo. Sirigu previously played for Palermo from 2009 to 2011. Delio Rossi, former coach of Palermo, expressed his pleasure over Sirigu's return, mentioning Sirigu's historical significance to the club and his potential positive impact on the current squad.

Salvatore Sirigu will return to Palermo after 13 years. The City Group has given the much-awaited approval for the signing of the experienced goalkeeper. He will replace Alfred Gomis, who suffered a serious injury at the start of the season. Sirigu beat competition from former Bari goalkeeper Brenno and former Salernitana goalkeeper Costil.

Palermo has decisively turned to Salvatore Sirigu after showing interest in Horatiu Moldovan for the post of Gomis.

Salvatore Sirigu is currently a free agent. The goalkeeper, born in '97, is expected to finalize the agreement with the Palermo club tomorrow. Sirigu has previously played for the Sicilian club from 2005 to 2007 and then from 2009 to 2011, making a total of sixty-nine appearances.

Salvatore Sirigu, who would return to Sicily after over a decade, is one of the closest options for Palermo.
