ACR Messina's sporting director, Domenico Roma, is reportedly interested in acquiring Salvatore Monaco from Catania. Monaco has been sidelined since the beginning of the season and reportedly has no chance of being reintegrated into Catania's squad. There appear to be no obstacles from Catania's side for Monaco's move to ACR Messina; however, it remains to be seen if the player will accept the destination. The transfer is expected to add quality and experience to the team, as Monaco has extensive experience in Serie C and 87 appearances in Serie B.
