Salvatore Elia, after a versatile season with Spezia where he played as a left-back and winger on both sides of the midfield, is being considered by Heerenveen. The Dutch club, which finished 11th in the Eredivisie last season, has made an inquiry to assess the feasibility of the transfer. Elia has two years remaining on his contract with Spezia.
