Rodrigo Echeverría leaving Huracán?
Rodrigo Echeverría, an important player for Huracán in the Liga Profesional, is nearing a move to Club León in Mexico. Although Argentine clubs such as Boca, River, and Racing showed interest, Club León was the only one to make a serious offer. Their initial bid of two million dollars for 100% of the player's rights was turned down by Huracán, who holds 80% of the rights, with Everton of Chile owning the remaining 20%. Club León is reportedly hopeful about completing the transfer, having made space for a foreign player and dispatched an emissary to Argentina with a revised offer.
Rodrigo Echeverría was considered by Racing Club in mid-2024, and there is now interest from Mexican football following a successful season at Huracán.
Rodrigo Echeverría is one of the players of interest, as Huracán needs to sell players to resolve financial issues due to a million-dollar debt with Sportivo Luqueño.
