Rodolfo Pizarro Transfer from AEK Athens to Mazatlán
Mazatlán announced the acquisition of Rodolfo Pizarro, officially marking his departure from AEK. The 30-year-old Mexican midfielder was not considered in AEK's plans and his exit was facilitated through his return to his home country, where he will continue his career.
AEK has officially announced the transfer of Rodolfo Pizarro to Mazatlán. The 30-year-old attacking midfielder will be returning to his home country to join Mazatlán. While it was initially reported as a loan, AEK has confirmed that it is, in fact, a permanent transfer. After spending one year with AEK, Pizarro will now leave to continue his career in Mexico. This move will allow AEK to relieve themselves of a heavy contract worth 1 million euros, as Pizarro was not included in the team's future plans.
Rodolfo Pizarro has reached an agreement with Mazatlán and is expected to fly to Mexico next Tuesday to complete the transfer. Although Pizarro has a contract with AEK until the summer of 2025, he will play for Mazatlán on a one-year loan.
