Robert Navarro leaving Real Sociedad?
Robert Navarro Muñoz leaves Real Sociedad and joins Maiorca. He has signed a contract until the end of the current season.
Robert Navarro has become a new player for Real Mallorca for one season. The transfer was quick, and Navarro expressed his confidence upon arrival in Palma. He was not in the plans of Real Sociedad's coach, Imanol Alguacil, and the transfer seems beneficial for all parties involved (Real Sociedad, the player, and Real Mallorca).
Robert Navarro (22) moves within La Liga. The versatile offensive player leaves Real Sociedad and has signed a one-year contract with RCD Mallorca. Born in Catalonia, Navarro was trained in the youth of FC Barcelona before moving to the Basque Country via Monaco. Last season he scored once in 28 games for his loan station Cadiz.
Alavés has shown interest in acquiring Robert Navarro, but no agreement has been reached as they are not willing to meet Real Sociedad's asking price. The club also does not consider a loan option since Navarro's contract ends in 2025 and he does not want to renew. Navarro intends to join Athletic for free next year.
Navarro is expected to choose his future, and Real Sociedad has to decide who will be part of that future. The situation has been developing for years.
