Riechedly Bazoer made a free transfer to Konyaspor on Wednesday. Unlike the Dutch transfer market, the Turkish transfer market is still open.

Riechedly Bazoer is transferring from AZ to Konyaspor. Despite having a contract with AZ until mid-2025, the 26-year-old's contract was terminated by mutual agreement. Bazoer has signed with Konyaspor until mid-2026. The defender and midfielder played two seasons for AZ, appearing in 68 matches, including 42 in the 2023-2024 season when AZ reached the Conference League semi-finals.

Riechedly Bazoer is set to leave AZ and join Konyaspor, as reported by De Telegraaf. With the Turkish transfer market still open, Konyaspor is stepping in to rescue Bazoer from his challenging situation in Alkmaar. The six-time Oranje international was considered surplus to requirements at AZ, leaving him with little prospect of playing time. This season, he only made a brief appearance in the Eredivisie match against NEC. Bazoer is expected to bid farewell to his AZ teammates on Monday and will travel to Turkey on Tuesday for his medical examination. Despite having one year remaining on his contract, he will join Konyaspor on a free transfer.
