Ridle Baku leaving VfL Wolfsburg?
Ridle Baku, who has been with VfL Wolfsburg since 2020, has a contract ending next summer. A contract extension with the 26-year-old is considered out of the question. VfL Wolfsburg would consider selling him during the winter transfer window if an attractive offer is made. Currently, there are no inquiries for the winger.
Ridle Baku, alongside Jonas Wind, has reportedly been given permission to transfer in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Ridle Baku is playing his final season for VfL Wolfsburg, according to reports from the 'Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung' and 'Aller-Zeitung', which indicate that Baku has no future at the club and will depart. Baku has faced many challenges and successes at Wolfsburg since joining from FSV Mainz 05. Although he lost his starting position last year and a contract extension beyond 2025 was unsuccessful, Ralph Hasenhüttl continues to rely on him, and he has participated in all matches this season. In a recent interview with 'kicker', Baku mentioned that he feels very comfortable in Wolfsburg. If he is not sold during the winter transfer window, he will become a free agent in the summer.
Ridle Baku's contract with VfL Wolfsburg ends in the summer, but he hasn't decided on negotiating with new clubs from January. He feels content and committed to Wolfsburg, with his contract running until summer 2025, despite interest from other clubs.
