Rhys Williams, a defender from Liverpool, has extended his loan at Morecambe until the end of the season. The 23-year-old initially moved to the League Two club in August with a deal valid until January. Since joining the Shrimps, Williams has played 25 matches and scored two goals in all competitions. The extension allows him to continue developing in the fourth division of English football for another six months.

Rhys Williams joined Aberdeen on loan at the start of the 2023/24 season but played only once and was recalled in January. He then went on loan to Port Vale, sustained an injury, and was sent back to Liverpool. He is looking to find a club where he can play regularly.
