Arsenal are among the clubs interested in Raul Asencio according to a Spanish report, but Real Madrid plan to increase his release clause to €500 million and have triggered a contract extension to keep him until 2029.
According to Team Talk, Arsenal is reportedly interested in acquiring Raul Asencio from Real Madrid. Although Arsenal is keen on signing Asencio, the player has indicated his intention to remain with Real Madrid for the foreseeable future. Asencio's contract includes a release clause of €50 million and runs until 2026. Despite his ambition to secure a substantial salary, his main focus is on developing his skills as a footballer at Madrid. Asencio has impressed at Real Madrid, taking on the role of a central defender during injuries to key players such as Eder Militaro, David Alaba, and Antonio Rudiger. He has featured in 13 LaLiga matches and seven Champions League games, providing two assists, which has piqued the interest of clubs including Arsenal, PSG, Inter Milan, and Bayer Leverkusen. Nonetheless, Asencio has communicated to his agent his desire to spend his entire career at Real Madrid, and the club is planning to extend his contract, possibly raising his release clause.
