Raphinha: FC Barcelona Contract Extension
Raphinha is set to receive a contract extension offer from FC Barcelona to extend his contract by two more years, until June 2029. He is not expected to oppose staying longer at the club where he serves as captain in the absence of Marc-André ter Stegen.
Raphinha is also expected to be offered a new deal at Barcelona to ward off the record-breaking figures he has received from Saudi Pro League clubs. The club's terms have not been confirmed, but were described as "historic". (El Nacional - Spain)
Barcelona are planning to open negotiations with Raphinha soon and hope to offer the 27-year-old a new, and, presumably improved, deal until 2029. Raphinha has frequently been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp, including to Newcastle United, but has always maintained he is happy in Spain and only wants to play for Barcelona.
Raphinha is open to the possibility of renewing his contract with Barcelona. He has been one of the standout players this season, contributing to 17 goals in 13 matches.
Barcelona is contemplating extending Raphinha's contract. Discussions are scheduled to occur during the season to prolong the contract of the player, who was acquired from Leeds in 2022 and whose current agreement is set to expire in June 2027. There were rumors about his departure this summer, with interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, but he reportedly turned down all offers, indicating his contentment at Barcelona and his ambition to establish himself there for the long term.
