Rafa Mir Transfer from Sevilla to Al Taawoun

Rafa Mir turned down a significant offer from Al Taawoun of Saudi Arabia to transfer during this winter market. Although the offer was economically appealing, Mir expressed his desire to remain at Valencia until the season concludes. Valencia is keen on ending the loan and having him return to Sevilla, but Sevilla is not inclined to assist in this process. Recently, Mir changed his representation to CAA Stellar. He holds a contract with Sevilla until June 2027, but returning there is challenging due to his contentious departure and conflict with Sevilla's current sporting director, Víctor Orta. Mir's situation is further complicated by legal issues, as he faces accusations of sexual assault and has been punished by the club both financially and sportingly. He is awaiting trial, with his passport seized and a travel ban imposed. Despite the club's hopes for him to accept the Saudi offer, Mir has declined to leave, and the situation remains unchanged.
