Pierluigi Gollini Transfer from Atalanta to Roma

Pierluigi Gollini joins Roma on a permanent deal from Atalanta, ending his loan at Genoa who had an option to buy. Gollini signed a two-year contract with Roma, choosing them over other offers. He aims to become the first-choice goalkeeper by 2025/26, although he is currently the backup to Svilar. Gollini declined proposals from Valencia and Saudi Arabia to join Roma.

Pierluigi Gollini has joined Roma as their new goalkeeper. He expressed his happiness and pride in joining the club, stating that wearing the Roma jersey is a unique experience. Gollini mentioned that there were contacts during the summer, but the transfer was not completed until now. He thanked the Friedkin family for making the transfer possible. Gollini is familiar with several teammates, which he believes will help him settle in quickly.

Pierluigi Gollini is now a player of Roma. The club announced officially that the goalkeeper joins Roma from Atalanta on a permanent deal. In the first part of the season, Gollini played for Genoa on loan, and after formally returning to Atalanta, he has now permanently left the club to join Roma. Gollini will wear the number 95 jersey at Roma.

Gollini, who arrived from Atalanta following a loan period at Genoa, is set to become Roma's second goalkeeper, taking over from Ryan, who was transferred to Lens for 800,000 euros. After a lengthy van journey from Genoa, the goalkeeper arrived in the capital to finalize his contract and begin training under the guidance of coach Nanni Farelli. It was stated that his responsibilities would extend beyond just playing, as Gollini was selected to enhance the competitive level during training sessions at Trigoria. His arrival is said to complete the goalkeeping department, thereby adding solidity to the squad.

Gollini is expected to arrive in Rome for medical examinations and to sign a contract. However, he cannot be registered until the end of the first phase (end of January) due to UEFA regulations, despite Roma's discussions with UEFA about possibly registering him earlier.

Pierluigi Gollini is nearing a move to Roma, who would acquire him on a permanent basis from Atalanta, provided Lens completes the sale of Ryan, who is currently awaiting additional medical examinations.

The departure of Mathew Ryan from Roma would pave the way for the arrival of Pierluigi Gollini at the club. The former Tottenham player would be released from his loan at Genoa and sign a contract with Roma until 2027. The agreement with Atalanta, the owner of the player's rights, is already on the table and the deal is close to completion.

Roma is reportedly set to expedite the transfer of Pierluigi Gollini from Genoa. The goalkeeper, who previously played for Napoli, Fiorentina, and Atalanta, might not be included in the squad for the match against Roma tomorrow, as he is nearing a move. Gollini is currently on loan at Genoa from Atalanta. Mathew Ryan's expressed desire for more playing time has reportedly led Ghisolfi to advance the deal for the 1995-born goalkeeper. Gollini joined Genoa last summer under the management of Alberto Gilardino, making his debut against Inter and appearing in seven matches before a hip injury in October allowed Nicola Leali to take over the starting position. This development has cast uncertainty over Gollini's role, potentially facilitating his transfer to Roma.
