Petar Stojanovic's adventure with Sampdoria has ended, and after returning to Empoli, his future may be far from Italy after the European Championship he will play with Slovenia. Celje's general manager Valerij Kolotilo confirmed interest in Stojanovic, praising his contributions, and expressed intentions to have him continue his career in Slovenia. However, the return of Stojanovic to his homeland appears to be a difficult operation to carry out also due to costs, as he currently receives 600,000 euros per season, a figure that the Slovenian club could hardly match.
