Lima was initially slated to head to Ligue 1 affiliate side Strasbourg instead of Chelsea.

Pedro Lima has confirmed that his move to Strasbourg is 'almost a done deal.' The 17-year-old will join Strasbourg for an initial €7 million, with a further €3.5m in potential add-ons. He is expected to sign for Chelsea at some point in the future if he impresses in France.

Strasbourg, sister club of Chelsea, is set to sign 17-year-old Sport Recife full-back Pedro Lima, who is likened to a young Cafu.

Pedro Lima will be loaned to Strasbourg, a club owned by Todd Boehly, to adapt to European football.
