Villarreal and Alavés have come to an agreement for the loan of Pau Cabanes, a 19-year-old forward, who will be playing for Alavés until the conclusion of the 2024/25 season. In addition, Cabanes has extended his contract with Villarreal by an additional year, now lasting until June 2028. Cabanes, an up-and-coming attacker from Burriana, has been nurtured through Villarreal's youth system since he joined as a child in 2018. This season, he has participated in 10 La Liga matches, playing a total of 155 minutes and scoring his inaugural top-flight goal in Villarreal's 5-2 win against Leganés, where he scored the final goal in the 89th minute.
