Oumar Solet leaving Udinese?
Oumar Solet, a central defender, was valued at 20 million euros a few years ago. Last summer, he ended his association with Red Bull Salzburg, opting not to extend his contract that was set to expire in June 2025, and ultimately terminated the contract after the transfer window closed on September 14, 2024. Udinese took advantage of this situation and officially signed him on October 1, although they are unable to register him until January. The Pozzo family, who own Udinese, made this move to allow Solet to acclimatize over three months and emerge as a crucial player starting January. His performances have been exceptional, establishing him as one of the top central defenders in the latter half of the season. His current market value is estimated to be between 20 to 25 million euros, and Udinese is already contemplating a sizable profit from his potential sale.
Oumar Solet, who joined Udinese as a free agent after terminating his contract with Salzburg, is being closely monitored by several major European clubs. Nicolo Schira reports that two undisclosed Premier League clubs are showing interest in the defender.
