Óscar Mingueza Transfer from Celta de Vigo to Roma

AS Roma is reportedly interested in signing Oscar Mingueza, a right-back from Celta Vigo, to bolster their squad in January. Mingueza, who is under contract with Celta Vigo until June 2026, has a release clause set at 20 million euros. It is noted that half of this amount would go to Barcelona because of a sell-on clause. Roma considers Mingueza a potential replacement for Celik and sees him as an ideal fit for the right flank, especially given the current shortage of alternatives due to injuries and the lackluster performances from other players.

Oscar Mingueza, a Spanish footballer born in 1999 and currently playing for Celta Vigo, is being linked with a potential move to Roma. Although Mingueza is contracted with Celta Vigo until June 2026, there exists a release clause that could facilitate his departure. His current salary is under one million euros, around 600,000 euros, which aligns with Roma's wage budget. According to the Spanish media, Roma is reportedly very interested in Mingueza and might attempt to sign him in January. Mingueza, who primarily plays as a right-back, is also capable of performing as a full-back on the right side or as a central defender. Should he transfer to Roma, he would be in competition with Celik for a starting position.
