Oliwier Zych Transfer from Aston Villa U21 to Górnik Zabrze
Górnik Zabrze has shown interest in loaning Oliwier Zych from Aston Villa. Piotr Koźmiński from Goal.pl reported that the matter is currently at an early stage. Zych is contemplating a loan move during the winter transfer window, as he is seeking more playing opportunities. The young goalkeeper, originally from Gdańsk, was signed by Aston Villa in the summer transfer window of 2023 after making a strong impression at Zagłębie Lubin's youth teams. Although he has been part of the Premier League club's youth setups, including occasional senior team call-ups, he has yet to make his debut for the first team. Previously, Zych spent a season on loan at Puszcza Niepołomice, where he made 26 appearances and kept seven clean sheets. With limited appearances since returning to Aston Villa, a move to Górnik Zabrze could offer Zych the competitive action he is looking for. If the loan goes through, he would be competing with Michał Szromnik for the starting goalkeeper position under coach Jan Urban.
