Oleksandr Petrenko is set to join Viktoria Köln for the second half of the season. The 17-year-old goalkeeper from Bayer Leverkusen will be loaned to the third-division club to gain more match experience. Viktoria Köln is addressing the injury-related absence of Oskar Hill, who is 18, by acquiring Petrenko on loan. Petrenko will take on the role of the third-choice goalkeeper for Viktoria's professional team while also being available for the U19 matches to accumulate playing minutes. Stephan Küsters, the Sporting Director at Viktoria, remarked on the loan of the Ukrainian U17 national player, indicating that they are pleased to resolve their goalkeeper shortage by bringing in a very talented goalkeeper.
