Niclas Thiede leaving VfL Bochum 1848?
Niclas Thiede has been loaned to SSV Ulm 1846 Fußball.
Niclas Thiede, the up-and-coming goalkeeper, has been loaned to SSV Ulm.
Niclas Thiede joins SSV Ulm 1846 Fußball on loan from VfL Bochum for the upcoming season. He will return to Bochum after the loan period. There is no purchase option included in the loan deal.
Goalkeeper Niclas Thiede (25) moves on loan from VfL Bochum to the second division club SSV Ulm 1846 Fußball. "Unfortunately, injuries have so far prevented a competitive appearance in the VfL jersey. At this stage of his career, match practice is extremely important," says VfL sporting director Marc Lettau. He has made one Bundesliga appearance for Freiburg and played 56 third division games for Verl.
A third goalkeeper for Ulm has not been found two weeks before the league starts. Now, the search for a new keeper seems to be gaining momentum. A transfer of Niclas Thiede is reportedly under consideration. The 25-year-old, who is currently still under contract with VfL Bochum but has rarely had playing time at the Bundesliga club, is considered an option. A signing of Thiede would reignite the competition situation in Ulm's goalkeeping squad.
