Nayef Aguerd, a 28-year-old left-footed Moroccan defender, has joined Real Sociedad on a one-season loan without an option to buy for 2 million euros. Aguerd brings Premier League experience under the management of former Real Sociedad player David Moyes and featured in 28 matches last season across various competitions including Europe, the League, and the Cup. He also boasts experience in the Champions League and Conference League, having won the latter with West Ham. The new West Ham coach, Julen Lopetegui, preferred Max Kilman, which led to Aguerd's loan move. Aguerd becomes the second Moroccan in Real Sociedad's history, following Moha from the 2008-09 season.

Nayef Aguerd has joined Real Sociedad from West Ham on loan until the end of the season. Aguerd was previously linked with FC Porto, but they signed Nehuén Pérez instead.

Nayef Aguerd has moved to Real Sociedad, a La Liga team, on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season. The Moroccan defender signed for West Ham from Stade Rennais in June 2022 and has since made 58 appearances in Claret and Blue. The 28-year-old was part of the West Ham squad that won the UEFA Europa Conference League in the 2022/23 season, defeating Fiorentina in the final in Prague in June.
