Naby Keita, who is currently playing as a midfielder for Werder Bremen, has signed a loan agreement with Ferencvaros that will last until the end of the season. He has already participated in the official photoshoot wearing the new club's jersey. The transfer is set to become effective on January 15, coinciding with the opening of the transfer window in Hungary. Keita had previously transferred from Liverpool to Werder Bremen as a free agent in the summer of 2023. Although he had the chance to 'start anew' at Bremen, his market value significantly decreased from 12 million euros to 1 million euro, and he has not played a single match this season for the German club.

Naby Keïta has been loaned to Ferencváros, with the Hungarian club, coached by Pascal Jansen, securing an option to purchase him. Back in 2018, Liverpool spent sixty million euros to bring Keïta over from RB Leipzig. During his time with the English club, the midfielder made 84 appearances, contributing to their Premier League victory in 2020 and their Champions League triumph in 2019.
