Mohamed Elneny's contract with Arsenal is expiring and he will be leaving the club at the end of the month.
Mohamed Elneny, who is 31 years old, ends his eight-year tenure at Arsenal after having played a total of 161 matches. He won the FA Cup in 2017, but his appearances have decreased under Mikel Arteta. This season, he only played six matches in all competitions.

Mohamed Elneny, midfielder of Arsenal, confirmed on social media that he is leaving the London club. Elneny arrived in North London in 2016 from Basel, with the London club paying 12.5 million euros for his services. In eight seasons (he was on loan at Besiktas in the 2019/2020 season), the defensive midfielder played 161 games and won three titles (two Community Shields and an FA Cup). In the last three seasons, he has not been a regular option for Mikel Arteta and this year he has only played in six games.
