Mohamed El Arouch, who joined Botafogo from Lyon at the end of August, has already returned to France. The plan was for El Arouch to gain more playing time; however, he struggled to adapt. Botafogo mentioned that 'personal problems' were the cause for the termination. El Arouch was under contract until June 2026. Due to family reasons, he has gone back to France, his home country, and will stay associated with Eagle Football Holdings but will not be part of Botafogo's project in 2024.
