Mirko Marić leaving Monza?
Mirko Marić, a 29-year-old experienced striker, was brought to Rijeka as Mišković's 'ace in the hole' for the attack on the double title. Not only did the Rijeka president not sell anyone in the winter transfer window, but he also strengthened the team. However, Marić's performance was not as expected. After his first goal, Marić's post lasted seven games until Rudeš, the weakest team in the league, where Marić scored. He scored his third, and last goal of the season in a home victory against Gorica at the end of April. In that duel, he also assisted Godi for the final 3:0. His performance of three goals and two assists in 15 spring matches for Rijeka was simply too little for the high, championship ambitions that Rijeka expressed throughout the spring, all the way until the beginning of May.
