Mihajlo Ilić Transfer from Bologna to AEK Athens
There was talk of a transfer to AEK Athens in Greece, but in the end, Ilic preferred to return to the club he considers his home.
Italian media have linked AEK Athens with 21-year-old Serbian defender Mihajlo Ilic from Bologna. According to the website Tuttobologna, AEK is evaluating his situation and might pursue a loan deal including a purchase option valued at 4 million euros. Bologna signed Ilic last January from Partizan for 4.5 million euros, but the Serbian has not made his debut yet, as he was not utilized by the Italian team in the latter half of the previous season.
AEK Athens is showing interest in acquiring Mihajlo Ilic, a defender currently owned by Bologna who has yet to make his Serie A debut since his arrival last January. Ilic was purchased for 4.5 million euros from Partizan Belgrade. In the last three matches, he remained on the bench and did not play, mirroring his experience in all the games of the previous season, where he was called up 18 times but never got any playing time. The Greek club is contemplating a loan deal with an option to buy set at around 4 million euros. Greece still has some time for transfers, as the window closes in eight days.
