Michel Ange Balikwisha Transfer from Antwerp to Celtic
Michel-Ange Balikwisha turned down a move to Celtic last month because he was injured. Despite this, Celtic showed concrete interest in him. Balikwisha had a muscle tear at the start of the season and missed six months of the campaign. He made his comeback against Anderlecht and stated he chose to stay to take care of himself and be ready for the play-offs. He left the door open for a potential summer transfer.
Celtic is showing interest in Michel-Ange Balikwisha, with plans for a £5m deal after the player successfully returned from injury. Previously, Celtic had shown interest during the summer transfer window, but a serious injury had put the potential move on hold. Balikwisha is viewed as an ideal fit for Celtic as a natural left winger, and Antwerp appears open to negotiations as the player approaches the final 18 months of his contract. Following Balikwisha's return to play against Charleroi last week, Celtic's interest has been rekindled, and the club is contemplating a January transfer. Antwerp CEO Sven Jaecques mentioned that both Celtic and Rennes were in negotiations over the summer, but attention has now shifted towards the January transfer window. At 23, Balikwisha is considered to have his prime years ahead, making him an appealing target for the Parkhead club.
