Michael Zetterer Transfer from SV Werder Bremen to Galatasaray
Sky Sport reports that Michael Zetterer is the first name on Galatasaray's transfer list as a replacement for Fernando Muslera. The 29-year-old goalkeeper's contract with Werder Bremen ends in June 2027. Werder Bremen is open to selling Zetterer for a reasonable fee as they plan to promote Mio Bakchaus, a promising goalkeeper from the Germany U20 national team. Manchester City showed interest in Zetterer last summer, but it did not lead to a transfer.
Michael Zetterer is regarded as an indispensable number one at SV Werder. Despite some recent inconsistencies, the club is planning to retain the 29-year-old for the long term but remains open to an early sale. Reports from 'Sky' indicate that Werder would be willing to agree to a transfer if a suitable offer is presented, although the required amount has not been specified. Zetterer is contracted with Werder until 2027. Galatasaray, the Turkish record champion, has expressed interest in Zetterer, as they are looking for an experienced goalkeeper with his skills to potentially replace club legend Fernando Muslera, who might retire next summer.
